Posted by on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 in Clerk of Session

The St Andrews' Annual General Meeting date is February 24th, 2019. You are cordially invited to join the celebration after worship on this day.

In acknowledgement of this date you should be aware that:
  • The financial meeting will be held prior to the AGM - on Wednesday February 20th.
  • The Annual Report will be released by January 20th.
  • All Committee reports, group reports or inclusions to the Annual Report need to be in the Church Office by January 10th in order to be included
  • The financial report will be available at the AGM. Depending on completion dates it may or may not be available in the Annual Report. Printed financial details of 2018 will be made available to everyone at the AGM.

The narrative budget format will be used again this year. We will have a potluck luncheon while discussing the opportunities and challenges of 2018.  This celebration will also allow us to decide a few motions that are mandated by the Book of Forms.

This important day needs your help to support St. Andrews' missions into the future. Help us move confidently by sharing your point of view.

Administrative volunteer positions available

Posted by on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 in Clerk of Session

Effective October 19, 2018 Jan Bancarz will resign as Administrative Assistant.

The Session of St. Andrews has instructed the Human Resources committee to find a suitable replacement. This will take some time to accomplish.

Session has implemented a temporary volunteer schedule to have support in the office and complete administrative tasks in the interim. This volunteer schedule will run from October 22 until December 31, 2018 or an Administrative Assistant is found.

Your help in filling the schedule will ensure we have people to respond to visitors and maintain our open-door policy.  On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 3-hour shifts are available for volunteering. Taking a day or a few days will allow us to keep the office open to the public.

 THANK YOU

Please contact Rob Hodgson or  Rev. Scott McAndless for volunteering or more information on this program.

 Hello: St Andrews

Well all was spiffy with the preparations with our teams up until the point we lost a member. Each team must have 4 participants and unfortunately, through a situation beyond control, one of the LSOM members had to withdraw.

Well October 13th is two weeks away and we desperately need a replacement team member. Please reach deep and help us out.

There are perks in joining us

 - free Tee Shirt (to keep)
- free breakfast & lunch
- riotous fun for a few hours
-  a warm glow from helping out
-  stress free exercise for the mind & body

Please join us for a day of smiles, laughs and groans which supports a great cause.  Hope Clothing

I am honored to announce that St Andrews Hespeler is once again entered in the Race to Erase sponsored by the YWCA of Cambridge.

We have 4 teams vying for the bragging rights to who has raised the most donations for Hope Clothing. They are (in my order of preference)

The Light Side of the Moon - Rob, Scott , Linda & Lynn

I am a Cheeky Monkey  Joanne, Jean, Cynthia & Sharon

The Ladies of Hope     Karen and her posse

Youda Coulda Shouda     Members of the Hespeler Legion

All of these teams are actively gathering donations and as always 100% goes to Hope Clothing to run this critical mission. If you see team members please donate to this great event and cause.

Good Day eh!

The RACE TO ERASE is back and team Light Side of the Moon has been created on http://www.racetoerase.com. Your Captain the humble Rob Hodgson is looking for three crew to accompany him on a one day mission of fun, fellowship and some serious challenges. Last year we were challenged to listen to music and name the artists, sing silly songs, dance (yes dance), roll beer barrels and all the raised funds go to Hope Clothing.

I encourage you to seek me out or create a team of your own. This is a major fund-raiser for Hope Clothing in 2018. If you can't participate you can still be involved by sponsoring the team of your choice. 100% of the funds are donated to charities.

Dig out your space suit and prepare to travel "to infinity and beyond" <lol>  "phasers on fun."
