MUSIC

Music is an important part of worship at St. Andrew’s. It is one of the ways in which we express our love and thankfulness to God. We like to incorporate a wide variety of music in our service and we welcome the participation of all those with a musical gift to share.

Senior Choir : Our adult choir participates in the morning worship services, leading the congregation in hymn singing, and usually presenting an anthem. We also sing at other special services throughout the year, especially during the Advent/Christmas season and Holy Week. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 and always welcome new youth or adult members.

Junior Choir:  This group of elementary school age children practices after the Sunday morning service in the Fellowship Room. Check your weekly bulletin for start dates.

Other Musicians:­ We welcome soloists or instrumentalists to participate in our worship. Occasionally we have several of our instrumentalists play with the hymns to help us sing more enthusiastically. If you play an orchestral instrument please consider joining us.   We also welcome those with a more “contemporary” leaning. If you play guitar or some other instrument we would love to include you.
